The Sustainability Census Tenth Edition (2026/27)
The 2026 Sustainability Census
Earlier this year, the ICRS supported the 2026 Sustainability Census, a global survey led by Acre in partnership with SLR Consulting. Following this, we are delighted to announce the launch of the 10th edition of the Sustainability Census.
What is the Census?
The 2026 Sustainability Census is a global survey of sustainability professionals, led by Acre in partnership with SLR Consulting. It captures robust, practitioner-led data on roles, skills, priorities, challenges, and trends across the sustainability profession. It is widely regarded as the most credible and comprehensive dataset of its kind, used by organisations, consultancies, and practitioners to benchmark and plan.
What were the findings?
Drawing on insights from 2,340 sustainability professionals across 76 countries, this year's report provides the most comprehensive global snapshot of the sustainability profession to date. From career pathways and employee satisfaction to leadership priorities, team structures, pay and benefits, the findings offer valuable benchmarking and practical insights for organisations and practitioners alike.
