About The Exchange 2025
This year's theme: Sustainability on Trial: Time to Prove the Payoff
With rising political volatility, regulatory headwinds, and economic uncertainty, the sustainability agenda is facing its toughest test yet. Critics argue that ESG is a costly distraction or even a smokescreen for business as usual. However, we cannot afford to go backwards. This year, the ICRS Exchange makes the case for sustainable strategies that deliver measurable commercial, social, and environmental value, proving that doing good and doing well are not mutually exclusive.
We are delighted to announce our keynote speaker for this year's Exchange, Adam Elman, FICRS, Director of Sustainability EMEA at Google.
With over 19 years of experience, Adam is a leader in sustainability, working at the intersection of the physical, digital, and natural worlds. He has held senior sustainability roles at Amazon, Marks & Spencer, and Klöckner Pentaplast, developing innovative sustainability strategies and programs. A Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of ISEP and ICRS, he is also an Executive Fellow at King’s Business School. Recognised among the UK's top 100 environmental professionals and among the top 50 sustainability thought leaders and influencers globally, Adam is committed to fostering a sustainable and inclusive future.
