ICRS Board announces updated mission and strategy for 2030
We've been listening. We have consulted our members to understand what ICRS means to you today and what you need from us over the next four years. That, together with a review of trends and changes in the landscape for our profession, has shaped a refreshed mission and strategic direction for the Institute.
From shifting political headwinds, economic challenges, and growing scrutiny of corporate sustainability commitments, our operating landscape has changed. At the same time, the need for skilled, credible practitioners who can drive impact at the scale and speed required has never been greater. Our refreshed mission reflects that urgency.

Pathways for practitioners
A new Certified ICRS Practitioner programme, sitting alongside Fellowship and Senior Fellowship.
Skills
Expanded knowledge resources through the Competency Framework — briefing notes, webinars, and bite-sized content.
Partnerships and transparency
More collaboration with peer organisations, and greater openness about how ICRS operates.

Hub events and mentoring
Expanded programme of regional Hub events and a strengthened mentoring scheme.
Certified Practitioner programme
Portfolio-based, formally recognised, with a post-nominal designation. More details coming soon.
