Senior Fellowship
Senior Fellowship is the highest level of professional recognition within the ICRS. It celebrates individuals who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the corporate responsibility and sustainability profession.
Building on our existing Fellowship community, Senior Fellowship recognises those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, impact, and influence both within their organisations and across the wider profession.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in at least three of the four ICRS Guiding Principles.
- At least 15 years within the last 20 years working predominantly on social, environmental, ethical, and sustainability issues.
- A minimum of five years of continuous ICRS membership immediately preceding the date of application, including at least three years as a Fellow.
- Demonstrated engagement with previous ICRS events or groups, such as attending or speaking at the Exchange or leading a Hub.
Application Guidance
Applicants will be required to provide:
- An up-to-date CV or LinkedIn profile link.
- A written statement (max 750 words) highlighting significant career achievements and alignment with at least three ICRS Guiding Principles. The statement should include:
- Clear evidence of impact, including metrics where possible.
- Examples of contributions to the profession beyond paid employment (e.g., involvement with ICRS, other professional bodies, or cross-sector initiatives).
- Links to supporting materials such as reports or media coverage (optional).
- Two references. Referees must fill out the reference form and send it directly to info@icrs.info. It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify their referees of this process and send over the reference form. The references should consist of:
- One from your current or most recent employer (not a peer or subordinate).
- One from an ICRS Fellow or equivalent from a peer organisation.
What Happens After You Apply?
- Application Review: Your application will be reviewed by a panel of ICRS board members.
- Interview: Shortlisted applicants will attend a 60-minute interview with the panel.
- Decision: The decision will be made based on your application and interview performance. If unsuccessful, you may reapply after 12 months.
Fees
- There is an application fee of £160 for the ICRS Senior Fellowship programme. This fee is non-refundable.
- Annual membership for Senior Fellowship is £300. The ICRS is included on HMRC’s approved list of professional bodies and learned societies. This means that individual members can claim tax relief on their annual fees.
